Stain Rx removes different stains using different methods. Certain stains come out ON CONTACT, some stains need rubbing the fabric onto itself while others are TREATED by the addition of Stain Rx and come out in the wash. Balsamic Vinegar

After applying Stain Rx, these types of stains typically need massaging of the stained area to remove the entire stain. The rubbing together of the fabric will lift and dissolve the stain making it easy to rinse out.

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Massage the stained area to loosen the stain.
  5. Rinse with water and repeat if necessary.
  6. Launder as usual.

Beet Juice

These types of stains do not come off on contact. Stain Rx treats the stain and allows it to be removed by laundering as usual.

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Launder as usual.

Berries

These types of stains come out on contact, right before your eyes – in seconds!

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Rinse with water and launder as usual.

Blood

After applying Stain Rx, these types of stains typically need massaging of the stained area to remove the entire stain. The rubbing together of the fabric will lift and dissolve the stain making it easy to rinse out.

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Massage the stained area to loosen the stain.
  5. Rinse with water and repeat if necessary.
  6. Launder as usual.

Carbon

These types of stains do not come off on contact. Stain Rx treats the stain and allows it to be removed by laundering as usual.

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Launder as usual.

Carpeting

Small Stain Removal

  1. Moisten the stained area.
  2. Put a small amount of Stain Rx on your fingertip, moist sponge or washcloth and treat the stain.
  3. Vacuum out all the soapy residue using water and your Steam-Vac, carpet shampooer or wet/dry shop vacuum and let dry.

Full Carpeting and Upholstery Cleaning

  1. Vacuum the entire carpet or piece of upholstery being treated.
  2. Clean the entire carpet or piece of upholstery using a Steam-Vac, carpet shampooer or wet/dry shop vacuum - ONLY USE WARM WATER - no detergent OR STAIN REMOVER at all. The Steam-Vac or carpet shampooer sprays in water and vacuums it out leaving the material slightly wet. To use a wet/dry shop vacuum you must mist the area being treated with only warm water then remove it with the vacuum.* While the carpet is still wet from this step, go to step 3.
  3. Depending on the size of the stain, put a small amount of Stain Rx on your fingertip, moist sponge or washcloth and rub out one stain at a time. For larger stains use a moist sponge, washcloth and Stain Rx. After treating a stain, remove all the soapy residue from the area using the instructions below and go on to the next stain.*
  4. Let dry.

* IMPORTANT:
You must remove all the soapy residue using the attachments from the Steam-Vac, carpet shampooer or a wet/dry shop vacuum. Rinse out all the soapy residue using only water and your vacuum. If you leave Stain Rx residue in the treated area dust will stick there forming a gray spot in a few weeks. If this happens, just add water and remove all the soapy residue.

Coffee

Stains such as the above are treated by the addition of Stain Rx and usually must be laundered to remove any residual stain.*

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply Stain Rx to the stain.
  4. Launder as usual.

PLEASE NOTE: For larger stains, you may want to apply a larger amount of Stain Rx to a moist sponge or washcloth for application. This method will help you will use less Stain Rx achieving the same positive results.

* Depending on the color of the fabric, there may be slight tan sediment left in the material. This sediment will come out with normal washing.

Cranberry Juice

These types of stains come out on contact, right before your eyes – in seconds!

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Rinse with water and launder as usual.

Diamond Jewelry

Diamond, Gold and Platinum Jewelry**

  1. Place all jewelry to be cleaned into a small glass or plastic container.
  2. Submerse all jewelry in Stain Rx and let sit overnight. If you are in a hurry, soak for a shorter time (even 20 minutes) and, if needed, use a small, soft brush or cloth to clean.
  3. Rinse with water and you will see an amazingly clean piece of jewelry.

** Stain Rx is NOT recommended for cleaning semi-precious stones or any other porous surfaces.

Feces

After applying Stain Rx, these types of stains typically need massaging of the stained area to remove the entire stain. The rubbing together of the fabric will lift and dissolve the stain making it easy to rinse out.

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Massage the stained area to loosen the stain.
  5. Rinse with water and repeat if necessary.
  6. Launder as usual.

Fruit Punch

These types of stains come out on contact, right before your eyes – in seconds!

As soon as possible:

  1. Remove the garment.
  2. Moisten the stained area with water.
  3. Apply enough Stain Rx to treat stained area.
  4. Rinse with water and launder as usual.

Gold Jewelry

Lipstick
